The combination paint and primer is available in all Sherwin-Williams colors, as well as textures that include flat, matte, satin and semi-gloss. We recommend Sherwin-Williams Duration as the best interior paint for busy households and high-traffic areas. Intended Surface: Walls, trim, doors, wood | Coverage Area: 400 square feet | Dry Time: 2 hours The manufacturer notes this paint is VOC compliant in all areas but may not be available everywhere because of state VOC regulations. We also like that it has a mildew-resistant coating, plus stain-release technology that makes it incredibly easy to clean. The self-priming formula hides existing wall paint colors and imperfections, but bear in mind you likely need two coats. It should apply well whether you use a brush, roller, or sprayer. The manufacturer notes that this paint adheres well to most surfaces, including wallboard, plaster, wood, and metal. We especially appreciate that you can purchase it flat, matte, eggshell, pearlescent, or semi-gloss finishes and nearly 4,000 hues. We like Benjamin Moore Regal Select, which combines primer and paint. Intended Surface: Walls, trim | Coverage Area: 400 square feet | Dry Time: 1 hourĪnyone who has painted knows how much of a hassle it can be to apply primer before the main coat. But you need to wait 3 or 4 hours to apply a second coat, which you almost assuredly need. It's also low-VOC, and thanks to the acrylic resin component, easy to apply and quick-drying, with minimal odors. Based on where you purchase it, you can select from 74 colors with whimsical names such as "Night on Earth" (a bold olive green) and "Stromboli Chess Club" (a cornflower blue). "However," she continued, "I paid about $20 per can more than I normally would and didn’t notice a huge difference in paint quality."Ībout $70 a can is undoubtedly expensive, but the premium, water-based formula is conveniently self-priming. "For the convenience of the curated color choices, self-adhesive sample, and the option to shop for paint supplies on the site, I loved the Backdrop experience," she said in her full product review. Backdrop was a hit with our home tester, who liked the curated, on-trend color options and accurate adhesive samples you can stick to your wall. a design-forward paint brand with great color choices and strong pigments," says DeCrosta. "If we are aiming for a high-end look, we may want to look into. Intended Surface: Walls, trim, doors | Coverage Area: 400 square feet | Dry Time: 1 hour Still, we think the stunning, durable results are well worth it. This wall paint can only be purchased directly from Sherwin-Williams, and at upwards of $50 per gallon, the price is slightly steep. When it sets, you're left with an ultra-rich finish that looks great from every angle. Cashmere also dries to the touch in an hour. It effortlessly hides existing colors and imperfections. This paint is available in five sheens and endless hues, as well as custom colors. Which means you shouldn't have to worry about permanent brush strokes or roller marks. This paint-primer combo boasts buttery-smooth application, automatically leveling out to a perfectly even layer. The best paint for interior walls depends on your goals and preferences, but we believe Sherwin-Williams Cashmere is an all-around winner.

For example, the free launch game The Playroom VR offers several experiences where players are working with, and against, one person wearing the PS VR headset. Yes, PlayStation VR displays what you’re seeing in VR or a completely different image as a 2D image on your TV screen via a feature we call “Social Screen.” This allows others to observe and, in some cases, participate. Q: When I’m using PS VR, will other people in the room be able to experience what I’m seeing? But there will be units available at participating retailers on launch day, 13th October 2016. In Europe, PlayStation VR pre-orders opened in March 2016 and have sold out. In the UK, selected retail GAME stores are conducting hands-on demos of PlayStation VR. Q: Where can I try PS VR before I decide to buy? The PS Camera is required for initial setup, but not when actually using Cinematic Mode. PS VR has a feature called “Cinematic Mode”, which lets you enjoy content in 2D, including PS4 games and movies, on a giant virtual screen while wearing the VR headset. Q: Will I be able to play non-VR games and watch video content on PS VR? We call this feeling “presence.” It’s when we feel like we are present somewhere else in space (and time) and our brain begins to believe this new “virtual reality.” Currently the PS VR system delivers a Virtual Reality experience for your eyes and ears through a combination of the 360 degrees 1:1 tracking of your head, wide field of view stereoscopic images delivered with a high refresh rate at 120Hz, and binaural 3D audio makes your brain think you’ve been transported to another world. VR stands for Virtual Reality, which is a simulation of another reality created by designers and programmers. It is approximately 610g (excluding cable) and approximately 7.4 x 7.3 x 10.9 inches (width × height × length, excludes largest projection, headband at the shortest). Q: What are the weight and measurement of PS VR? The PS VR exclusive sci-fi FPS game, Farpoint, utilises the PS VR Aim controller to offer a realistic and precise way to control the game. Many PS VR games have an option to enhance their experience through the use of two PlayStation Move motion controllers, while there are a limited number of games that require two. Most games utilise the Dualshock 4 wireless controller. PlayStation VR allows you to experience the future of gaming through Virtual Reality with a PS VR system, your PS4 and PlayStation Camera. Q: What do I need to own to experience PS VR? The core product includes the PS VR system, headphones and all cabling required, with a suggested retail price of £349.99/€399.99. PlayStation VR is our Virtual Reality system for PlayStation 4, available 13th October. Q: What is PlayStation VR? How much does it cost? Now… on to the ultimate FAQ! PS VR: the basics We’ll do our best to update this continually before, during, and after launch. And if it doesn’t have what you are looking for, just leave us a note in the comments below. If you have a question about PS VR, this guide should have an answer. We’re covering everything, from the setup requirements, to the technical specifications. Welcome to your official resource hub for information on PlayStation VR. Once it's placed, select it if you haven't already (don't go into it's properties), and then in one of the grid views, shift drag it a short distance to copy the prop_static. To do this, create a prop_static with the World Model models/props_mvm/mvm_upgrade_center.mdl. Next you should create an upgrade station in each of your red spawnrooms. Set their Team KeyValue to Red, and optionally give them a name like teamspawn_red. Don't forget to give each spawnroom a func_respawnroomvisualizer that has Solidity set to Always Solid and Associated Respawn Room set to whatever you named the func_respawnroom.įor red team, create at least 6 info_player_teamspawn entities across all your spawn rooms (so you don't have any players spawning at the same spawn point). Give each one the proper Team KeyValue, and an appropriate name like respawnroom_red or respawnroom_blue. (And honestly something you should already know how to do if you know how to use Hammer.)įor both teams, create a func_respawnroom brush entity which spans each area that you want to act as a spawnroom. I'm going to skim through the basics for the general spawnroom logic because it's something you can find in any basic TF2 Hammer Editor tutorial. (I'm being hyperbolic, but you get the idea.)Ĭreating the spawnrooms for both teams is exactly the same as creating them in other gamemodes, just with a bit of MvM specific logic added on. I don't know how many times I've scoured through a map and had to temporarily disable visgroups because some logic in the map was hidden inside of a brush somewhere at the edge of the map. The only reason I say to do this is to make it easier on you and especially on anyone else who decompiles your map to look at it's logic. In general the place you pick should be where you place the majority of your point entity logic, but this isn't really a necessity. Let's start off easy, create these entities and place them somewhere obvious (for example near your hatch area). I'll be using a modifed mvm_example for demonstration. Regardless of what type of MvM map you want to create, whether it be gatebot or normal, multi-stage or multi-area, you're going to need a few pieces of logic that are essential to your map functioning properly.īefore we start with the logic make sure you have your layout created in Hammer already. This guide assumes you already have your basic map layout created in Hammer, and will help you complete the rest of the steps to finish your map by walking you through the logic you need, explaining how to create navigation meshes, and pointing you to resources for mission creation.Īgain this is not a design or detailing guide for your map or your missions, it is to help people who are new to MvM mapping wrap their head around it's technical aspects. Create an actual non testing mission for your map, or get someone else to create one.Modify your navigation mesh if appropriate.Don't forget to update your navigation mesh if you change your map layout. Test your map until you've verified the layout has no gameplay issues.Create or re-purpose a popfile to be used for testing your map layout.Create the basic layout in Hammer, don't focus on detailing your map.Draw the layout of your map on paper or in an image editing software, list features you want to implement and or how you plan on implementing them.Generally, the creation of a map goes a little like this: I should also mention the map creation process and what is expected of you to have already done before you start with this guide. It will not directly go over the creation of popfiles, as there are plenty of guides that already do this perfectly well, rather, it will point you to those guides which you can learn a great deal from.It is not a guide on how to design your MvM map, it only covers the logic and files required for a functional map.It is not a guide on how to use Hammer you are assumed to have basic knowledge of it's usage. With that said, there are a few things that this guide is not: You need all three for a functional MvM Map. nav file, and the creation of missions (.pop files). This guide will go over how and when to use the various logic and brush entities that typically make up MvM maps (as well as less common ones), how to create a proper. I am by no means an expert on the topics that will be presented shortly rather this guide is a culmination of my personal experience of making MvM maps, along with information I have acquired from other guides on Steam or the Internet, and the Potato's Custom MvM discord. Need the key, or a solution to get it from my other system. Ya know? Reaper/Cockos to operate in a very cool fashion until now- what's happening over there? I seriously don't see why we have to be so freakin anal about this. It provides an extensive set of features, but is a very small and lightweight application. that is utterly ludicrous since they have my name on file with the purchase as either via my credit card or paypal.Īnd so, since I purchased the product, I kind of expected them to provide the "support" as their email implies- Hell, they didn't even provide me with any solution to the problem like loading it from my other system etc. Portable Cockos REAPER 7.07 (圆4) (Fixed) REAPER Portable is a powerful but sensible Windows application that lets you record, arrange, edit, and render multi-track waveform audio. There are two systems in my audio suite and both use the program, but one has a new install, plus was never licensed (or used until now). check for a VST plugins directory in both Program Files and Program Files (x86) if you're on a 64bit machine and make sure both are in the preferences path, etc, or consult EZ Drummer documentation for info about where the DLL might have gone.I wrote Cockos support a while back requesting the license key that I purchased for Reaper. I bought Reaper about a couple of years ago and Im fairly certain I recieved an email with the licence key. Adding the "location of EZ Drummer" won't do anything unless it's the location of the actual DLL (i think reaper also looks in subdirectories, but not sure.) Sometimes plugin installations create their "main" directory for the manuals, uninstall program, web links, etc, in the Program Files or wherever, but install the DLL somewhere else, like a VST Plugins directory, which is sometimes not the VST plugins directory a given DAW actually looks for. Re: EZ Drummer, i haven't used it specifically, but, assuming windows here, in general you need to make sure that reaper can find the. (This apparently isn't in the manual, which is weird.) That will open the folder containing the reaper-license.rk file which is what you need to import. Upgrades from non-commercial licenses to full (commercial) licenses are available. No, not the third serial number, but the third message Adobe send me. So, I wrote a second support request - and every time I search the web to find hints how to fix the issue myself all I find are BitTorrents and Keygens. I guess this wouldn’t have happened with Pirate Bay … Update: Strike 2!Īdobe just sent me a new serial number … its got 3 numbers more, looks complete, but does not get accepted by the program either. Trying to fix the problem myself by searching with Google did not turn up any useful links - for legal usage - although there were many references for keygens (yup, the Internet sometimes just rubs salt into the open wound). Well, at least I can use the trial period of the software - the most most expensive trial version I have ever ‘owned’ - until Adobe Support tells me what wrong. I recently bought the Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium Student Edition, only to receive a serial number that is rejected as invalid by the program. This said, given that I have to earn the money I pay for the software and I cannot spend the same cent (or rather: the same few hundred Euros) twice (e.g., for the creative project itself), I get seriously angry when it becomes more difficult to use a legal version than (what I have heard about getting) a cracked one. Luckily, for many software programs there are also student versions - and some are available even for non-university students who have simply visited a course at an adult education center. At least good and expensive programs offer trial versions to test a program, and there other ways to access good software for free (e.g., using it at work), but unless you (legally) own it you risk locking yourself out of your projects when that access ceases to work. I think that there is currently a gap in programs for creative amateurs - non-professional creatives can handle programs that are made for experts - but often they cannot afford them. Others may enjoy LaTex, but personally I like to see what I do and play around with the layout - and there the handling, the functions (like Layers, Styles, etc.) and the accuracy of InDesign is top. It is simply the best application (for me and the way I design books). I have created books with Microsoft Word ( *shudder!*), used RagTime (during the time it was/is free) and Apple’s Pages (did you know that the Quarz PDF Export is not supported by Lulu, a book on demand publisher, unless you edit it with Adobe Acrobat to “Discard All User Data” and flatten the whole thing? Neither did I … *shiver* …) - but the design process of creating books became fun when I got my hands on Adobe Creative Suite which included Adobe InDesign. I also think there should be software packages of professional and normally extremely expensive software for non-commercial creative use - without castrating the functions, or including “watermarks” which spoil any effect of a creative project (shouldn’t they only be seen when you hold the printout into the light?).īecause even if you do a creative project just-for-fun, it makes a difference which tool you use. I love it when good software comes with a low price (e.g., Scrivener or Circus Ponies Notebook) and the buying process is handled comfortably. I am a strong proponent of paying for the tools you use, which includes software. |
